New Name, Same Expert Team: Welcoming Perennial Freight Customs

Change is underway at Perennial Freight Group as we announce an update to our business structure.

As of today, Perennial Fresh is officially rebranding to Perennial Freight Customs.

While a name change is a major milestone, this move is about accurately reflecting who the business is today and how they serve the industry. The new name better matches the specialist nature of their work as a customs clearance authority.

The transition to customs expertise

To understand the new name, it helps to look at where this journey began. Originally, Perennial Fresh was established as a specialist refrigerated freight service, focused on transporting fresh produce.

However, following Brexit, international logistics required a different approach to border crossings. As supply chains adapted to new paperwork and regulatory requirements, we saw an opportunity to assist. The Perennial Fresh team adjusted their focus, building out a dedicated customs space to guide businesses through the updated border processes.

Over time, customs clearance naturally became the primary function and core offering of the business. Because the team has evolved into a dedicated customs provider, the new name reflects that reality.

What does this mean for clients?

Operationally, it is business as usual. You’ll be working with the exact same expert team you’ve always trusted, but with a brand that matches their specific focus.

Operating as a dedicated business within the Perennial Freight Group, Perennial Freight Customs provides the advice and documentation needed for smooth exports and imports. Whether you are moving goods from the UK, across the continent, or further afield, their team is there to ensure your cargo stays on the move.

Importantly, Perennial Freight Customs operates independently of our transport division. Their services are available to businesses regardless of which haulier you choose for transport. They act as your bridge to a smoother supply chain, no matter who is moving the physical freight.

A word from our CEO

Commenting on the rebrand, Chris Smyth, CEO of the Perennial Freight Group, highlighted how this new identity gives the customs business its own distinct voice while perfectly complementing the wider Group:

“This is an exciting development for Perennial Freight Customs, allowing them to truly focus their efforts on the customs space and showcase a specialist service that perfectly complements our core freight operations. By clearly defining Perennial Freight Customs as its own entity, we are highlighting our Group’s commitment to delivering top-tier, specialised compliance support that empowers businesses to trade internationally with absolute confidence.”

Looking to the future

Alongside the new name, you’ll start seeing a refreshed visual identity and logo across their channels and collateral.

We want to take this opportunity to thank our customers and partners for their continued trust as our businesses grow and adapt together.
