New Dublin Port Infrastructure Levy From 1 March 2026

Dublin Port has recently confirmed the implementation of a new Infrastructure Levy, effective 1 March 2026. This charge is part of the Dublin Port Masterplan 2040 and is designed to fund the ongoing development and modernisation of port facilities.

This levy is a mandatory statutory charge set by the Port Authority and is separate from existing terminal handling fees.

Applicable Rates

The levy applies specifically to all laden import and export units. In line with the Dublin Port pricing strategy, the following rates will apply the majority of Perennial Freight loads:

Unit Type Rate per Unit
40’ / 45’ Container or 13.6m Trailer           €15.00 / £15.00

Implementation Details

To maintain the reliability and efficiency of our logistics operations, Perennial Freight will apply this levy directly to customers.

  • Effective date: 1 March 2026

  • Application: All laden import and export containers/trailers.

  • Invoicing: This will appear as a separate line item on your invoice titled “Dublin Port Infrastructure Levy.”
