Confronting Driver Shortages and Recruitment Challenges

We were pleased to welcome Niall Cotton, CEO of the Freight Transport Assoication, to our office in Taghmon on 19 November to kick off our engagement on recruitment challenges in the transport sector.

This meeting was a valuable opportunity to discuss the ongoing challenges sector is facing  – from the global shortage of HGV drivers to the increasingly complex licensing and permitting requirements when recruiting staff from abroad.

We appreciate the continued engagement with both the FTA and the Department for Transport, and we value the open dialogue on how we can tackle these issues together.
